A CAD plug-in is a program that extends the capabilities of the CAD software for a specific purpose. For example, our "Text" plug-in enhances FastCAD with new tools for working with text.

FastCAD plug-ins are very simple to install and integrate seamlessly. The plug-in's new commands work and appear exactly the same as any other.

In the DOS version of FastCAD, plug-ins were known as XPs (external procedures). Sometimes you will find people still referring to plug-ins as XPs.
